One of a kind experience... definitely a Carbondale iconic place

Italian Village is always a good option for a fast lunch. During the week they offer Pasta, Pizza and Hamburger dishes with an open salad bar for a very good price. I am satisfied in all my visits so I recommend it.

IV's is absolutely a Carbondale staple. It is by far my wife's favorite pizza (one of the restaurants we had cater our wedding) and the free soft serve ice cream cone at the end of the meal is a classic, even in the middle of winter! Their pizza is on the thin side (our preference) and typically served in squares with a sauce that is a touch sweet. However their lunch special includes a massive single slice and my favorite at IV's, a trip to the salad bar. It's a great deal! Also, during the week, after 4pm, their ice cream (alcoholic) drinks are quite the adult treat!

The Seafood Ravioli & salad bar were yummy!

Favorite Italian place in Carbondale. "Sweet" based sauce vs. "salty" base. Great food selection and atmosphere.

You have to try IV's at least for the experience alone. It's not going to be the best Italian you've ever had, it's really good for certain, but what you are really getting is a authentic southern Illinois experience. You can literally see the mark of previous generations on the walls. The place has a atmosphere and style that I've found unique to Carbondale. Manage you expectations, appreciate it for what it is and you will be back.

Nice outside seating, we arrived about 10 minutes before closing time, not knowing the hours they served us with a smile, pizza was excellent & $3 pitcher was nice too

Good food. Service workers seemed a bit overwhelmed at the crowd during my experience, but IVs is always a good choice.

The salad bar is phenomenal. The pizza is piping hot. The atmosphere is welcoming. If you can find a spot sign your name on the wall.

I've been coming here most of my life. It's still the best pizza joint in Southern Illinois. And possible the state of Illinois. Wonderful staff and menu choices.

Italian Village, really hasn't changed much over the years. Other than the addition of a beer garden, it's pretty much exactly the same you would remember it. The food is delicious, served hot, with a fantastic salad bar. Free soft serve ice cream with each meal, you can't beat that. Take the time out of your day, and make your way to Italian Village. You'll be very happy you did.

We had meatball and Italian beef sandwiches, very good. If you're in a big hurry I would recommend calling ahead, but the wait is only a few minutes if you place your order at the drive through.

We always enjoy a trip to IV's. We've had laid back Birthday parties here, awesome pizza...and when we discovered the Tuesday night pasta special, we were in ❤!

Had to rate a one in order to say how I feel Saturday night at 9.15 they are closed .website shows 11pm on Saturday night .pretty upset

No matter what you order it will be good at this fine establishment. We ordered the Confusion pizza. It was great. You also get a free icecream cone if you want for dessert If you like pizza, and a great atmosphere this is the place you will love!!

Great food and awesome eating in the club house outside. It was a little chilli but the sushi warmed us up and the fish tacos with honey cube sauce were delicious. The chocolate bread pudding was the best I ever had.

Best alfredo sauce pizza around! It was so cheesy and well seasoned, that there was non left over.

Not the place to go for italian food. Best thing was the salad bar.

Friendly staff. This town is where my father's alm mater is located so it has some personal history. This place has been here since 1960. It has that college charm with writing in the walls etc. We had the gluten free spaghetti with a combo of the Alfredo and marinara sauce, the nooner, and a salad. The food was good. Of special note was the gluten free garlic bread.

Pretty good! But I'll forever be upset that their "chili mac" is actually just chili on spaghetti noodles...

This is a nice place with nice employees, great food, and an amazing look/style. It is very rustic, with signuratures all over the walls, signs from goodness knows how long ago(one says 5¢ coke bottles), a cute mini arcade, a downstairs bar, and a ground level salad bar.

Tons of gluten free options. We had a huge group and they let us have our own room. Staff were so nice and helped us get all our orders to our room. Great salad bar with lots of variety. Free ice cream cone with each entree was a hit.

I have always loved to go and eat pizza here ever since I was a little kid!!! There salad bar is awesome!!! Don't forget to grab an ice cream cone or 2 when you're done also!!!
